November 5th

So, it's been forever and a day since I posted!  Well, really a month and a couple days, but that's still a LONG time!  This past month has been quite the long one-I'll admit I didn't stay fully on track food wise, but according to the scale at the gym today, I lost a little bit of weight. I'm not going to count it until Monday, but so far so good?  But anyways, this month was all about change.  I started a new job (read: paid internship) and it's taken a bit of adjusting (and I lost LOTS of extra time!).  I've also encountered midterm season (which didn't seem like it would ever end).  I've been swamped with LOADS of sorority stuff!  And just in this past week, I broke off my friendship with Blake.  Yes, you read that right. BROKE IT OFF.  I couldn't do it anymore-that entire friendship wasn't worth the effort I put into it.  So, here we are.  We're now no longer the four of us-it's me, and the three of them (Lucy, Chase, and Blake).  Though, there is a new guy friend in my life: Alex.  I won't tell you his actual name, but he's quickly becoming a good friend of mine.  After this last month, I'm stoked about that :)

Onto the food for today, since that's what everyone's expecting, yes? :)

Breakfast:


A cup of coffee with 2 splendas and 2 tbsp. skim milk and a cherry nutri-grain bar (not pictured).  I had service this morning SUPER early, so I didn't have time to eat :(

Lunch:

One of my sorority sisters wanted to get lunch after service, and how could I resist?  She's one of my favorite sorority sisters (I may have talked about her before, but I'm not sure, so I'll just give her a new name-Kailey), and it was nice to be able to talk to her one-on-one :)  But, we went to this food court-esque place on campus, and I headed to the salad bar and got a salad with tomatoes, cauliflower, garbanzo beans, and two slices of chicken with a tad of balsamic vinegar, some pesto pasta, and sauteed mushrooms-YUM :)

Snacks:

I had this before going to the gym-sliced apple. YAY :)



and this was before dinner-I was hungry but I tried to wait for my roommate (1 tbsp. Whole Foods Black Bean Hummus and 5 Falafel Chips-YUM!)

Dinner:

CHILI!  We usually have Turkey Chili, but the Turkey I picked up was very questionable smelling, so we got some of the beef out of the freezer and used that-still tasted pretty good! :)

Exercise:  I went to the gym and went on their track and alternated running a couple laps with stretching.  My body is not used to working out I guess-a little bit of a problem I must say...  I figured I'd start off with baby steps and work myself up to running a mile.  But I felt great going, so I'll be going back lots now :)

Pros:  Yay for eating well and getting back to my blog!  Also yay for exercising and drinking lots of water! :)

Cons: I need to work on my emotions-they're out of wack :(

October 2nd

So sorry for not posting yesterday-it was pretty crazy!  But I'm following my schedules, and we'll see how it looks :)

Breakfast:
I went to Founding Farmers (this AMAZING restaurant that uses only down to earth ingredients and local produce) with Lucy, Mary, and Sally.  I looked online before and found this and it sounded AMAZING! :)  It's their "Drag through the Garden" Egg White Scramble with some grits and a piece of Toasted Ciabatta-DELISH!
I also had to have a cup of coffee (in my room) with 2 tbsp. skim milk and 2 splendas :)

Snack 1:
I had to eat something before I went to the gym, so I decided to try my Late July Cheese Sandwich Crackers-AMAZING!

Snack 2:
After the gym, I had this wonderful Luna Bar-Chocolate Dipped Coconut (which they now sell at Whole Foods for 99 cents, instead of $1.99 they charge for it everywhere else on campus), and a Medium Dunkin Donuts Pumpkin Coffee with 2 tbsp. skim milk and 2 splendas (not pictured)

Dinner:
My sorority family and I went to Bertucci's for dinner-I had two rolls (not pictured) and this awesome salad!
Then Blake texted me after I came back and said his roast was ready, and I HAD to try it-YUMMY!

Snack 3:
I was really hungry still (for some bizarre reason), so I sliced an apple-YUMMY :)

Exercise:  I did 30 minutes of strength training at the gym today-SUPER exhausting!

Pros:  Yay for eating my fruits and veggies, drinking 12 cups of water, and going to the gym!

Cons:  I need to cut down the carbs and snacks.

October 1st

ALL CAUGHT UP! YAY :) and it's the First Day of October-HECK YES :)  I got so much done today-I'm so pleased :)

Updates:  I made a new food/workout plan for the week, and I'm going to try SUPER hard to stick with it.  It shouldn't be too bad-I LOVE sticking to these, and I added in my meals out, and put one copy on the refrigerator, so that's good :)  Also, I'm not going to use MyFitnessPal for the time being.  I think I've become overly concerned about caloric intake and how many calories I burn while exercising, and not enough concern is about how my clothes fit, how I feel, and the freshness of the food I'm eating.  So, I'm going to stick with my plan, and eat as much good food as I can, and we'll see what happens.

Breakfast:  We ate with the boys!  I had 2 365 Organic Pancakes, 2 Egg Whites, 1 Chicken Breakfast Sausage, and 1 Slice of Turkey Bacon-SO SO SO GOOD! :)  My roommate also got me a Venti Triple Shot Skinny Hazelnut Latte from Starbucks-YUM :)

Snacks:  I had 1 small brownie, 1 pumpkin chocolate chip cookie, and 1 cup of coffee with 2 splendas and a creamer.  We had a sorority event that went from a cookout to an indoor potluck.

Lunch:  I had the last piece of Pepperoni Pizza and a Fat Free Raspberry Yogurt that's been in the fridge for quite some time.

Snacks:  I had 1 tbsp. Chocolate Hazelnut Butter, 3 Late July Organic Cheese Sandwich Crackers (YUM!) and another Venti Triple Shot Skinny Hazelnut Latte during an interview with a soon-to-be pledge!  I don't know this girl as well, even though she's friends with a former roommate of mine, so it was good to talk with her!

Dinner:  I got dinner at Whole Foods with a friend from freshman year-I'll call her Sarah.  But I got a tiny bit of Macaroni and Cheese (Blake loves it!), some Chicken Caesar Pasta, and some grilled Chicken-DELISH!  I also had a Pistachio Cupcake for dessert-AMAZING!

Also, two NSVs that I haven't shared (one happened yesterday)!
-The night before I came back to school, I went shopping with my mom and got two black pencil skirts: one that was my size, and the other that was the size down (and too small).  Well, I wore the one that fit two weeks ago and it was fine.  But when I tried it on on Friday, it was a little big, and so I decided to try on the smaller one, and IT FIT! YES! I WAS SO SO SO EXCITED!  My roommate thought my waist looked TINY and I was so pleased :)
-This is two different scenarios but the same point.  So when I was at Starbucks tonight, I was talking with my old roommate's new roommate and she was telling me how my old roommate (who's a little big) talks about how she's fat all the time, and how she, my friend, was telling her how hot and fabulous she thought I looked, and I felt really good :)  Then, when I was telling my roommate this, she told me how she was talking to Chase about something, and he was like "you know, she (meaning me) looks really good" and she was like "yeah, she does" and he was like "no really, I mean, really good".  It makes me SO happy that other people are noticing-makes me want to keep going!

Exercise:  Not today, but I'm DEFINITELY going tomorrow!  It's on my calendar and everything :)

Pros:  Yay for not going crazy even though I'm not counting and drinking water! :)

Cons: DRINK MORE WATER, HIT THAT GYM, AND EAT THOSE VEGGIES! :)

Hoping for a FABULOUS tomorrow!

September 30th

So today was pretty great-I've had such fun! :)

Breakfast:  I had 1 cup of Cheerios with 1/2 cup skim milk, 2 diced strawberries, and 1 cup of coffee with 2 tbsp. skim milk and 2 splendas. SO GOOD :)

Lunch:  I had a phone interview, and didn't think I was going to make it to lunch with some friends, but it finished early, so I got to go to lunch! :)  I went with Blake, Chase, and another friend, Julie, and headed to Mehran's, where I had 1 Piece of Naan, 4 pieces of Tandoori Chicken, some Jasmine Rice, a small cucumber and carrot salad, and some lentils (at least...I think that's what it was).  But anyways, it was FREAKING DELICIOUS! So very worth it :)

Snacks:  I rewarded myself with a Strawberry Cupcake-it was DELICIOUS!

Dinner: Lucy, Chase, and I went to TGI Friday's, and I got the Spinach Florentine Flatbread, which was DELICIOUS!

Snacks:  I had a cupcake at a Sorority Event (Strawberry with Chocolate Frosting), and then later, the kid next door brought like 80 cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcakes back to his room and invited our floor over to eat them-YUMMY!

Exercise:  Not today! I NEED to get on that!

Pros:  Yay for trying to eat well!

Cons: WATER, EXERCISE, VEGGIES, AND NO MORE CUPCAKES

September 29th

So today went a little better-SO SO SO glad it's the weekend!

Breakfast: 1 Cup of Cheerios with 1/2 cup skim milk and 2 diced strawberries and 1 cup of coffee with 2 tbsp. skim milk and 2 splendas, in the midst of my super busy studying!

Lunch:  I had 1 serving of Late July Peanut Butter sandwich crackers-SO GOOD, and a Luna Bar-Chocolate Dipped Coconut.  I hate not having time for lunch during the day on Tuesday/Thursday.

Dinner: My roommate and I decided to have dinner together since we haven't had dinner together all week! CRAZY!!  I had a piece of Pepperoni Pizza and 1/2 of my Chocolate Cupcake-YUMMY :)

Exercise:  No exercise AGAIN today :(

Pros: Yay for eating fairly well, and only limiting myself to one slice of pizza :)

Cons: Drink the water, eat the veggies, and go to the gym!

September 28th

So today was a little better, but not by much.  I'm still pretty eh about everything going on-sad :(

Breakfast:  I had my typical breakfast-1 cup of cheerios with 1/2 cup skim milk, 2 diced strawberries, and 2 cups of coffee, each with 2 tbsp. skim milk and 2 splendas. YUMMY :)

Lunch:  I finished the Turkey Chili today-1 cup of it-YUMMY :)

Snacks:  I had 2 tbsp. Chocolate Hazelnut Butter, 2 tbsp. Original Hummus, Stacy's Pita Chips-Sea Salt flavored :) 

Dinner:  I got dinner with one of my sorority sisters-Kayla, who I'm SO glad I got to get dinner with!  I had a Turkey Burger with Lettuce, Tomato, Sauteed Onions and Mushrooms, Ketchup, and Mustard. YUM!

Snacks: I had a Luna Bar-Cookie Dough flavored. SO SO SO GOOD :)  I also had a serving of Stacy's Pita Chips again :)  I was studying for an Anthropology Exam in Blake and Chase's room while watching Chase watch the Ducks play.  Blake and Chase's friend, Alex, came over and he's officially me and Lucy's BEST FRIEND. He was SO SO SO freaking funny, AND he's in my class too, so that made the night even better :)

Exercise: Not today :(

Pros:  Yay for eating well and drinking water, and being super productive under loads of stress!

Cons: I NEED TO WORKOUT SOON!

September 27th

So today was pretty freaking sucky-mainly because of some stupid drama that was going on.  It seems that something started today and it's all going downhill from here-SUPER.

Breakfast: I had 1 cup of Cheerios with 1/2 cup skim milk, 2 diced strawberries, and 2 cups of coffee, each with 2 tbsp. skim milk and 2 splendas! YUMMY :)

Snacks: I had 1 bag of grapes, 1 Luna Bar-Chocolate Dipped Coconut, and 1 serving of Late July Peanut Butter Sandwich cookies instead of lunch-boo for five classes!

Dinner:  Hannah, Sally, and I went to Old Glory since Hannah had never been-SO GOOD!  I got the pulled pork sandwich with fried okra and a side salad with bbq-ranch, which was FREAKING AMAZING!!!!  Then we went to Sprinkles and got free cupcakes, but I didn't eat mine because I wasn't feeling well :(

Exercise:  Not today-stupid not feeling well!

Pros:  I drank lots of water and I didn't go overboard-yay :)

Cons: Blake and I are kinda in a fight right now and it's just pretty freaking awkward between the two of us-basically he became like best friends with his former best friend Tricia and I'm not sure what to make of it and now we're not talking...oh well :/

Hoping for a fabulous tomorrow!

September 26th

Sorry I haven't updated in FOREVER!  This past week has been the most stressful week EVER!  Next week will be a little better, so I'm excited for it! I have plans and EVERYTHING!

Breakfast:  I woke up feeling SUPER freaking nauseous, and knew that I could not make it to the gym and workout/weigh-in this week-oh well :(  I was kinda bummed, but it's okay I guess.  I have three months to lose 24 pounds, so I need to get moving!  That's 2 pounds a week! :)  So I had 1 cup of cheerios with 1/2 cup skim milk, 2 diced strawberries, and 2 cups of coffee, each with 2 tbsp. skim milk and 2 splendas. YUM!

Lunch: 6 slices of turkey and 8oz of Turkey Chili-YUM YUM YUM!

Dinner: I made a super yummy salad with romaine lettuce, a tomato, some mushrooms, 1/4 cucumber, and 2 tbsp. Organic Ginger Soy dressing from Whole Foods-SO GOOD!

Snacks:  So I ate throughout the day, and I can't remember when I ate what, so here it is: 1/2 cup grapes, 2 servings (26 crackers) of Late July Peanut Butter Bite Size Crackers, 2 tbsp. Cava Mezza Original Hummus, 2 Wheat Thins Flatbread Crackers, 2 tbsp. Chocolate Hazelnut Butter, 1 cup of coffee with 2 tbsp. skim milk and 2 splendas, 1 Luna Bar-Chocolate Dipped Coconut, and a Grande Skinny Hazelnut Latte.

Exercise:  Not today-starting PMS and it's not pretty :(

Pros:  Yay for drinking water and eating some veggies!

Cons: I NEED THE GYM.

September 25th

Apparently updating my blog from Blake and Chase's dorm is the norm now-good to know.

Breakfast:

I was SO good this morning-slept in until 9:30 and made an AWESOME scramble :)  It's 2 egg whites, a tomato, 3 mushrooms, some onion and garlic powder, and 1 tbsp. mild salsa with 1 cup of coffee with 2 tbsp. skim milk and 2 splendas. YUMMY :)

Lunch:





 
Making that scramble more often-it filled me until lunch!  So, I took a picture at first because that was my original lunch, but then Blake asked me to get lunch with him after I ate the strawberries, so the salad is in a tupperware for tomorrow :)  So, 1 cup of coffee with 2 tbsp. skim milk and 2 splendas, 4 strawberries, and 1 cup of lettuce, 1/4 cup cherry tomatoes, 1 oz. balsamic vinegar, and some pulled pork. YUMMY :)  And yes, we do frequently get meals at Whole Foods.  When it's right around the corner, how could you not? :)

Snack:

After lunch at Whole Foods, and then shopping there, I was REALLY craving chocolate, so to the Chocolate Hazelnut Butter I went :)  Snack 1 was 2 tbsp. of that :)

Snack 2:

Stacy's Simply Naked Pita Chips with 2 tbsp original hummus-SO SO SO GOOD :)

Dinner:

Crock Pot Sunday = TURKEY CHILI :)  1 Serving of that with a sprinkle of cheese on top :)

Dessert:

1/4 cup Ciao Bella Raspberry Sorbet (also a treat for getting a 100% on my Anthropology quiz-yay!)

Snack 3:

I can't seem to go to Blake and Chase's Room without food.  So 1 serving of Late July Organic Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers and a Luna Protein Bar-Cookie Dough. YUM!

Exercise:  Not today-homework took up ALL my time!

Pros: Yay for eating well, especially those veggies!

Cons:  WATER and EXERCISE!  I'm going to the gym tomorrow (WI should be good!), so I'll try to create a workout plan tonight for the week and make myself go :)

September 24th

Greetings from Blake and Chase's room again :)  Lucy and Chase are playing Call of Duty 4, Blake's playing some computer game, and I'm over here blogging/reading for class.  Chase's favorite hockey team is playing tonight at 10, so we're just hanging out until we all watch it together-we're totes presh, I know :)

Breakfast:


We eat breakfast with the boys, but they usually wake up late, so I needed something to tide me over.  I had my usual coffee with 2 tbsp. skim milk and 2 splendas with 1/2 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt, 2 diced strawberries, some sliced almonds, and cinnamon-YUMMY :) 

Snacks:























 
Two cups of coffee, both with 2 tbsp. skim milk and 2 splendas-I really needed some caffeine :)

Lunch:
The boys made us brunch!  I only took a little bit because I didn't want to overkill.  I had 2 pieces of Canadian Bacon, 1 slice of Turkey Bacon, 2 Egg Whites, 1 Maple Pork Sausage, and 1 Pancake with no butter/syrup! YAY for self-control!

Snack:
Around 5, I was doing some reading for class and got REALLY hungry!  So I had 2 Wheat Thins Garlic & Parsley Flatbread Crackers with 2 tbsp. Whole Foods Hummus-SO GOOD :)

Dinner:
My roommate wanted macaroni and cheese, and so I made Annie's 25% Less Sodium Macaroni & Cheese, and had 1 cup of it, and added in a diced tomato, 3 diced mushrooms, and 1/2 cup cooked peas-SO SO SO GOOD :)

Snacks:

Here I am in the boys' room, and I brought some snacks this time :)  An apple and a Luna Bar-Cookie Dough :)  Definitely finished a day of pretty good eating :)

Exercise:  Not today-I REALLY need to go!

Pros:  Drinking TONS of water, getting my fruits and veggies in, and eating well :)

Cons: EXERCISE!

September 23rd

So, greetings from Blake and Chase's room, where Blake has no idea that I'm posting this :)  Lucy and Chase went to a bookstore/probably got dessert, so we're just hanging out here :)

Breakfast:
I think I'm making a tradition where when I don't have classes, I make oatmeal. YUMMY :)  So I had Oats Revolution-Apples and Cinnamon and 1 cup of coffee with 2 tbsp. skim milk and 2 splenda.

Snack:
Grapes and another cup of coffee with 2 splendas and 2 tbsp. skim milk. Loving on my coffee here :)  Also, note the NEWLY FIXED desk that the fixit guy came today for-yay!  It's only been four weeks since we put in a request...no big deal.

Lunch:
I met my friend Mary (codename) at Whole Foods and we got lunch-SO SO SO GOOD :)

Snack:
A bag of grapes-I'm addicted :)

Snack 2:
Blake invited me to go to dinner with him after he did some homework, post grocery shopping today.  I know he'll appreciate me saying this on my blog, even if he has no idea, but he was SUCH a southern gentleman today!  He held his umbrella over me as we walked to Whole Foods, carried my bags back to his room, carried the empty bags/cart to Safeway, while holding the umbrella over me again, and then carried ALLL the bags back from Safeway, even though the cart wheel was broken and they were all super heavy!  He truly is the best guy friend I have and I love him for what he does :)  But anyways, so while I waited for him to finish some homework (it was 6:30), I needed some food, so I got a Luna Bar :)

Dinner:
Blake and I went to Whole Foods since he'd never been and the other place he suggested was Nando's, which made me sick last time.  It was so much fun and SO SO good :)

Snack:
After dinner, I needed something sweet, so I went to my room to get my books, and got these two wonderful snacks. SO GOOD :)

Exercise:  Not today-too busy doing work/getting errands done/hanging with friends :)

Pros:  Yay for eating really well and getting some GREAT food for the next week! I'm excited to show y'all what I create :)

Cons:  Water and Exercise!

September 22nd

So, today's been pretty interesting-super stressful, but some good things happened and I'm happy :)  It feels like a Friday though, because I'm done with classes for the weekend, but at the same time, I'm glad I have an extra day to do all this homework!

Breakfast:

Slept in a bit, and still had plenty of time for breakfast-wonder if I'm ever going to eat those Nutri-Grain bars :)

Snack:

1/4 Cucumber.  I was going to have the other 1/4 for dinner, but it was frozen, and I had to throw it out :(

Lunch:

So I was planning on making a salad/wrap in the room for lunch, but then Blake texted me that the BBQ Food Truck was outside our dorm again (I had already eaten lunch when he told me the other day), so my roommate offered to buy me lunch!  The pulled pork sandwich was SO big that I got to eat barbecue for TWO meals today, and I didn't eat the bun :)  Here's meal one!

Snack:

I now have to have snacks between classes on Tuesday/Thursday, so good thing I packed one :)  Yes, this would be my awesome picture taking skills in action as I'm walking out of class :)

Snack:



 


After class, I came to my room, decided not to take a nap, and had a couple of snacks instead, and my roommate then made me coffee-love my roommate!

Dinner:

Hello Pork dinner number 2!  I made a salad with romaine lettuce, a diced tomato, and the pork. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

Snack:

For one of my classes, I have to watch Saving Private Ryan, and the boys (Blake and Chase) so nicely offered to watch it with me, saying something about how girls hate war movies :)  So I went down to their room, and came with my own snacks :) (That's Blake's bed by the way.  I'm sure his bed will become my second favorite picture taking spot with my food haha)  Oh, I also had 3 Chips Ahoy cookies, but I couldn't put the picture up because I had already uploaded some.

Exercise:  Not today, because I was so busy, but I will tomorrow!  Blake and I are going food shopping (and maybe clothes shopping if I can convince him) :)

Pros:  Yay for eating fairly well, even though I'm feeling some upcoming PMS starting :/  Also, yay for drinking water :)  And I got my fruits and veggies in :)

Cons:  Get More Exercise!

September 21st

Get ready for a busy busy day full of pictures and LOTS of snacks! :)

Breakfast:
Back to the schedule-1 cup of Cheerios with 1/2 cup skim milk and 2 diced strawberries and 1 cup of coffee with 2 tbsp. skim milk and 2 splendas :)

Snack:
Someone got hungry before lunch and needed a nice snack-Activa Light: Raspberry with like 3 almond slices in it-yummy!

Lunch:
I saw the Capmac truck on campus, but I knew that wouldn't be a good idea, so I went to Whole Foods-DELISH!  I got a Turkey Burger with lettuce, tomato, sauteed mushrooms, and grilled onions, with a salad with cherry tomatoes, corn, onions, mushrooms, and red vinegar. SO ABSOLUTELY YUMMY!

Snack:
I was going to study with a classmate, and then head to a community service event with some sorority sisters, so I made sure to get a little snack in before, since I didn't know when I'd eat next.

Snack 2:
Right before I left, I realized I needed another one-Wheat Thins Flatbread with 1 tbsp Supremely Spicy Hummus = 95 calories. WIN.

Dinner:
 
I went to Chop't with a sorority sister, and was really excited, but it wasn't as good as I expected, so I took an after picture to show that I only ate half haha

Post-Dinner Snacks:

 

Yeah, the post-dinner period killed me today-but not too much :)

Exercise: Not today-too much work and community service :)

Pros: Yay for the fruits and veggies :)

Cons: I need water and exercise!
